The Primal 45 program is divided into 4 progressive phases:

  •  Phase 0 - Primal Foundations (5 Days) (Recommended for True Beginners)
  •  Phase 1 - Primal Baseline (15 Days)

From Broken Meathead to Confident, Capable Human

I was the dude who spent hours at the gym slamming weights in front of the mirror. 

I was the dude with the tight butthole who continued to push through the stabbing back pain even when my body was screaming with every possible signal to "STOP and LISTEN!"

This is me, 20 years old, 5'8" 194 lbs of pure dysfunction and zero athleticism

I was obsessed LOOKING like an athlete. I worked out at the University of Oregon rec center religiously.

I'd slam pre-workout that made my face go numb and proceeded to destroy my body with hours of mindless lifting. 

At the time, I thought I was building a great body...but really I was masking a supreme lack of confidence in my self. 

I began to develop a consistent sharp sensation at the back of the heart, deeply embedded in the spine. The pain continued to drive deeper into my body and into my identity

At age 20, I was broken, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. 

The chronic pain consumed me. It ran my life. I stopped taking action and accepted that this was my reality. 

It took 4 years of sitting at a desk, staring at a computer screen, witnessing my posture shrink into itself as the pain continued to shackle me before I decided that THIS WAS NOT IT!

I started to take action, trying to find different ways to increase activity and restore my body's ability to move. 

I quit my job and followed my original dream of being a personal trainer. And I built my body back up through a variety of training methods...but still, something was missing. 

That all changed when I found Primal Movement. I took the Animal Flow certification in 2018. The primal aspects of this movement system resonated with every fiber of my being.

It felt right so I followed that feeling, exploring all systems of movement, investing in education and integrating what I found valuable into my own practice

I also have the privilege to work with everyday humans who are just trying to get back to feeling more like themselves

And I've been doing this for the last 6 years. Grooving what is useful and important into a practice I call SMOOV.

What surprised me the most is how much strength you can actually build from moving in these ways. I was able to open up parts of my body that I wasn’t even aware of.
